The James Herriot Room is the heart of The Bark & Call Inn. Dogs who deeply enjoy the company of other dogs and like nothing more than to be part of a group of doggie friends, love this room.

All rooms, except The Calvin & Hobbes Room, are accessed through this room, as are the play yards. Daycare and Boarding drop offs come through this room, making it a hive of doggo activity and energy.  This is the hub of indoor playing and the thoroughfare for going out and coming in. During drop off and pick up hours, there is great excitement as each new arrival is greeted and comes into The James Herriot Room all excited and dancing to get outside.  Things settle down after 9am when drop off and pick up hours end.  For the rest of the day, dogs get to simply be dogs playing with all their friends.

At night, beds and blankets of many types and sizes are spread throughout the room. During the day, the beds and blankets are picked up, giving full access to the space for play. That doesn’t mean dogs can’t nap during the day. Dogs who need a nap during the day, or simply need a quiet space, have several other rooms to choose from.

Not all dogs staying here will be a part of this experience.  Dogs who don’t like this level of energy, who get overwhelmed, or have any other discomfort, spend the drop off and pick up hours in either The Calvin & Hobbes Room, The Charles M. Schulz Room or the J.M. Barrie Room.  There is a comfortable space for all personalities at The Bark & Call Inn.
